2012 Newark Education Policies and Issues
Beyond "aligning and focusing resources," and "holding accountable all who are responsible for educating children," the Newark Trust for Education seeks to raise the level of civic discourse around education issues in Newark.
We express our commitment to civic discourse by providing safe, neutral space for the rigorous exchange of ideas, informed by substantive knowledge of policies and issues.
What follows is not "everything you ever wanted or needed to know" about education in Newark. The 2012 Newark Education Policies and Issues offers citizens, civic stewards, and candidates, clear, concise explanations of 10 complex and timely Newark education issues.
Over time, this will expand to include additional topics and information. To the best of our ability and knowledge, we have avoided language that advocates, recommends, or suggests that one perspective or idea is more valuable than another. For additional references, and/or more information on any or all of these issues, please visit the Resources page of our website.
