The Newark Trust is excited to produce its first Year in Review for 2011. We hope you will find it as fun to read as it was to write and put together. Much of what has been accomplished in the past year is the result of the hard work, talent, and dedication of the staff and the Board of Directors of the Newark Trust in collaboration with a growing cadre of mission-based partners.

It remains an honor to serve the children of Newark through the work of Newark's first independent and permanent local education fund. Helping to ensure a quality public education for all children who face obstacles that limit their access to educational excellence is why we exist, and why we will continue to expand our impact, strengthen our capacity to create and manage change, and lock arms with our partners as we step forward together in 2012.
